Bul Chol society was founded upon customary principles that recognized the supremacy of God and the rule of law traditionally. That is why we always say “God Lead Us”.

The name of this Association shall be call from now onward as Bul Community Association (BCA).  This community it was organized as a non-profitable and non-political organization. It only encourages the developmental issues that are facing Bul Chol society only.

Bul Community Association Vision Statement:

We, the people of Bul Community Association are committed to work together to form a more perfect union; and support each other during difficulties all of the time.  We are committed to do the best we can, to help our people back home with the development of our community.

            

 Fundamental Freedoms of Bul community members

Everyone has the following fundamental freedoms:

I. Freedom of conscience and religion; you can be Christian, or believe in African’s gods.

 II. Freedom of thought, belief, opinion and expression as long as it is not offensive to the other members. Please see more in community bylaws.

 The main objectives of the Bul Community Association are to promote:

a) Unity and solidarity among Bul Chol people forever

b) Education

c) Development in Bul county

d) Cultural activities in diasporas as well in the Sudan

e) Bul global networking internationally where ever they are

f) To stimulate an active interest of Bul and to work with other southern Sudanese as well

The Past of Bul Society

Bul Chol had devoted most of their time to the Cattle wealth, compare to the other Nuer sub-clans, and other tribes of Southern Sudan as well. As a result of their dedication to the livestock, ninety percent of Bul population are “Gaatcibany” meaning possess a large number of Cattle.  Even these terrible days of life, Bul haven’t lost the confidence of prosperous mentality.  This is because,Bul land has been blessed by the Nuer number one Prophet, Ngundeng Boong, who said “The Land of Bul Lek will be surrounded by Cattle.”   After such a wonderful blessing, Bul have also received a multiple blessings from their Great-Great Grandfather, Chol, who said to them “your wealth will be like sand.”And therefore, Bul Land becomes the “WONDERLAND,” in which poverty is not a native of Bul society.

The Future of Bul Society

Today and Tomorrow, much attention of Bul Chol society has been turned toward Education then they were before. According to the yearly report statistics, more than one Thousand High School Students and more than two Hundred College and University Students are graduating every year, across world.  Education is the most recent target for both young and old generations that they have to invest in right now then taking care of cattle as they use to be back in a day.
